What's New
As well as improvements to operator access control, version 1.4.0 includes considerable performance improvements in the user interface, making your Protege X experience smoother.
Control Rights
We have added the new Control right for roles, giving you more flexibility when assigning permissions to Protege X operators.
Now you can choose whether an operator is allowed to control doors, areas, inputs, outputs and more - separately from other rights such as viewing and editing.
Preview: Location-Based Access Control
In this version we are also offering some customers to opportunity to trial our major upcoming feature: location-based access control (or LBAC).
This is an optional feature that allows you to control which locations a Protege X operator is permitted to manage. It is ideal for any situation where a multi-location system needs to be partitioned, such as:
-
Companies with branches in multiple cities
-
Companies with multiple franchises owned by different people
-
Global companies with regional divisions
For more information about this new feature and how it works, see Using Location-Based Access Control (LBAC).
